VIVA Las Vegas

Whit & I went to Vegas last weekend for his birthday & it was oh so much fun! We stayed at the Mirage, which was awesome! Perfect weather, sunny/87. We didn't win much, but that's okay, who goes to Vegas with plans to win? We went to Fremont St & enjoyed the light show. Check out the Mirage pool.... we spent most of our time at the pool!

Senior 2008 - Madison Brooke Wilson

It's so hard to believe that my daughter is graduating is 15 days!! I can still remember her first day of kindergarten... I cried then & I'm sure I will do the same May 27th! I am so very proud of her & I'm so excited to be in her life & watch her continue to grow.... beginning with College, which starts Aug 22nd- MO State in Springfield Mo. Many, many more posts on this subject to come.

F3 tornado too close to home....

This past Friday at 2am, we had a pretty big scare.... a F3 tornado came right by our home. We had no warnings, no sirens... nothing! Whit woke me up at 2am yelling at me to grab Owen & run.... I can honestly say I don't think I've ever been so scared. We still don't really know why the sirens didn't go off. I've heard the news say that you should have a weather radio, although I've also heard that the folks who had the weather radio on, that it didn't go off either. The next morning we had heard it was just straight line winds & that it was not a tornado. We knew what we felt & heard. Now we know , yes 2 tornados up north, one F2 & ours was the F3. I'll be so happy when I don't remember that sound. Oh, I just heard on the news at 10pm that we are supposed to have more severe weather tomorrow night.... ugh. Here are some pictures of the damage. The last 2 pics were just 4 blocks away. When you look at these & know that no sirens went off, it such a blessing that now one was killed...
